Architecture Museum of Swabia
A branch of the Architecture Museum of the Technical University in Munich is located in the former home of the architekt Sebastian Buchegger. The museum presents Swabia’s architectural history and much more. (Thelottstraße 11)

Railway Park Augsburg
The railway, operations and repair facilities on the 24 hectare site are one hundred years old. At special events, the park demonstrates historic locomotives and wagons of European state railways. Their workshops are used to repair locomotives for the museum. (Firnhaberstraße 22).

Art Museum Walter
Art Museum Walter is one of Germany's largest private collections and shows hundreds of works by around 200 artists of various styles and schools. Housed in the industrial monument Glaspalast on a space of around 6,000 square meters, visitors will find works by R.Penck, Markus Lüpertz, Georg Baselitz and Max Ernst, as well as sculptures by the Venetian glass artist Egidio Costantini. Mazda Classic - Automobile Museum Frey
The Mazda Brand is known worldwide. Their models, which include classics like the Cosmo Sport or the MX-5, are produced in the factory in Hiroshima, Japan. These vehicles can be viewed in the “Mazda Classic - Automobile Museum Frey”, which is set up in a historic tram depot in Augsburg-Oberhausen.

A museum of German industrial history: machines, pictures, informational panels and models guide visitors through 200 years of technology. The original experimental engine, which Rudolf Diesel engineered to series production in Augsburg between 1893 and 1897, is a highlight. State Textile and Industrial Museum Augsburg (tim)
In the State Textile and Industry Museum display a weaving mill, spinning machines and a catwalk for fashion history to show Augsburg’s importance as a major player in European textile industry well into the 20th Century. The museum stands on the grounds of one of the first factories in Bavaria, the Augsburg Kammgarnspinnerei. It offers special exhibitions and hands-on programs for children (Provinostr. 46).

State Gallery for Modern Art
The State Gallery for Modern Art was opened in May of 2006 and features changing exhibitions of high-profile art from 1945 to the present. The gallery is the 1,500 m2, newly renovated, daylight-flooded industrial building of the Augsburg Glass Palace. It is the first time that a branch gallery of the Bavarian State Painting Collections has become a center for contemporary art.

Tycho Brahe Museum in the Roman Tower
The “Roman Tower” in the park of a castle in the district of Göggingen is the first Tycho Brahe Museum in Germany. The Dane, one of the most important astronomers of the early modern period, installed the “Augsburg Quadrant” in 1570, then the largest sky observation device in Europe. The museum shows a replica (individual registration to visit at Parktheater GmbH).
